DIY Shea Butter Mix

Hey Lovelies

This week I’m back with another DIY. This is a super simplified version of the Shea Butter Mix with only two ingredients. I had to make it because my hair was struggling and I couldn’t wait to collect all the ingredients.ย  My hair needed moisture! It was an SOS situation so I made this mix which I’m loving already and my hair is happy again!

Let’s get into it!

What you’ll need :
Raw Shea Butter
Pure Castor Oil
Hand Mixer
Mixing bowl
A Zip lock/ Sandwich bag
Empty Jars
A pot of boiling water

Hie TeteHumba๐Ÿ™‚. I find that my hair feels really soft for a day after using this mix and then it becomes frizzy and feels really dry (if I add more it just becomes a greasy frizz).Do you by any chance know why or what I can do?

Hey Nicola! I have only used it over a couple of days but I know what you mean! My hair does that with Coconut Oil. With this mix, I put it in my hair on Sunday, and everyday I have just been spritzing my hair with water mixed with a tiny bit of conditioner. This is working well. I have been avoiding reapplying it in fear of product buildup. So try the spritz. If that doesn’t work then maybe the mix isn’t good for your hair. I hope this helps ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks I’ll try the spritz! I did think that I should stop using it but it really makes my hair grow so fingers crossed for the spritz idea. ๐Ÿ˜Š
